SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A cab driver was robbed at gunpoint in Pacific Beach Monday and one was held up in Mission Beach about 15 minutes later, San Diego police said.
A man walked up to a cab driver in the 800 block of Missouri St. near Bayard Street around 1 a.m., threatened him with a handgun and demanded money, San Diego police Officer David Stafford said. The robber then ran off, he said.
The robber was described as a black man with a medium build and no facial hair, wearing a brown jacket and boots.
About 1:15 a.m., a taxi driver in the 3500 block of Mission Blvd. near El Carmel Place was approached by a gun-wielding man who threatened him and demanded cash, Stafford said. The robber again got away with cash and personal property, he said.
The robber in that heist was described as black, 29 or 30, weighing about 180 pounds and wearing a brown jacket and jeans.
