ESCONDIDO (CBS 8) - Three African lions at the San Diego Zoo's Safari Park celebrated their ninth birthday Wednesday.

Mina, Oshana and Izu were treated to frozen meat "cakes," which took park employees a month to make.

Park visitors watched as the lions then tackled their presents, which were cardboard animals created by park volunteers.
