PACIFIC BEACH (CNS) - Two men were injured Saturday by four assailants, at least one of them armed, in a scuffle that erupted over a pot deal, police said.
The incident occurred at 12:58 p.m. at an apartment complex in the 2100 block of Garnet Avenue, police officer Matt Gagliardi said.
"Investigating officers determined there was marijuana being grown at the apartment," Gagliardi said. "Two of the suspects were invited into the apartment to do business, which went bad."
Gagliardi said two victims in the apartment were bound by the suspects with zip ties. At least one of the suspects was armed with a gun.
"They were able to escape and began fighting with the two suspects," Gagliardi said. "Two additional suspects entered the apartment and the fight went out onto the balcony of the apartment."
Gagliardi said one of the victims was knocked off the balcony and fell to the ground, which prompted the four suspects to flee.
"The victim left in the apartment, chased after them and broke the window of the suspect's vehicle before it left," Gagliardi said. The victims had minor injuries, including bumps and bruises.
The suspect's vehicle was described as a white Toyota SUV. The suspects remain at large, and the investigation into the incident is continuing.
