OCEANSIDE (CBS 8) - A hospital in Oceanside has a new way to keep an eye on your newborn, even if you're not at the hospital.
One of the first families to check it out says it's a great way to share their baby's progress with loved ones.
"It's really great. Our kids get to see him, especially my mom is really happy with him," Georgio Velasco said. "She can't stop calling us and tell us, 'Oh he's moving his arm, oh he's laughing.'"
Tri-City Medical Center's NICU installed 25 webcams that can be viewed through a computer or mobile device. They are mounted over the baby bassinettes and allow working parents, deployed military members and relatives to stay connected.
