CARLSBAD (CNS) - A bank in Carlsbad was robbed of an undisclosed amount by a tattooed man with a mustache, and police were on the lookout for the suspect Saturday.
The heist happened about 4:40 p.m. Friday at the Comerica Bank at 2626 El Camino Real, where a man implied he had a weapon in his jacket pocket. But he did not display one to the teller, according to Carlsbad police Lt. Bruce May.
No one was injured, and the monetary loss was not disclosed, May said.
The robber got away and drove north on El Camino Real in a large white 1990s model Toyota extended cab pickup truck that did not have a camper shell, May said.
Police described the suspect as white or Hispanic, between 20 and 30 years old, about 5-feet-5 and around 150 pounds with tattoos on his neck and hands and a mustache. He was wearing a black baseball cap, a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark brown pants.
May asked anyone with information on the robbery to call police at (760) 931-2100.
