Driver who died in Mission Valley collision identified

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A 19-year-old man who died Sunday in a collision with a tanker truck on a rain-slick Mission Valley thoroughfare was identified Monday.

Hunter Harris of San Diego had just exited northbound Interstate 15 at a high speed and was headed west on Friars Road when he lost control of his Honda S2000 about 8:15 a.m. Sunday, according to police and the county Medical Examiner's Office.

The car spun out, slid across the roadway and collided with an oncoming fuel tanker. Harris died at the scene.

No other injuries were reported.
