
(CBS 8) - A national nonprofit very familiar to San Diegans also took part in the festivities Monday, marching in the inaugural parade.
Canine Companions for Independence, which has a training center in Oceanside, was one of 43 organizations chosen out of nearly 3,000.
The 60 dogs donned their capes and walked alongside a giant inflatable dog named Independence.
