SAN DIEGO (AP) - A multimillion-dollar science fiction collection has been donated to the library at San Diego State University.

The school says collector Edward Marsh of Escondido has donated items that include art, memorabilia and signed first editions by the likes of Jules Verne, H.G. Wells and Isaac Asimov.

The collection is valued at two-and-a-quarter million dollars and will be placed on public display.
