Body found in San Ysidro drainage ditch - San Diego, California Talk Radio Station - 760 KFMB AM - 760kfmb

SAN YSIDRO (CBS 8) - The body of a person who may have been attempting to cross the border illegally was discovered Thursday afternoon inside a drainage ditch in San Ysidro.

According to a Chopper 8 report, someone contacted police from Mexico last week saying a person was stuck inside a border tunnel and had died. It's believed the body has been inside the ditch for at least a week.

The ditch was located at East San Ysidro Boulevard at Border Village Road.

Authorities were attempting to retrieve the body from the drainage ditch.
