LAKESIDE (CBS 8) - The intense manhunt for Christopher Dorner followed a lead to a home near Barona Casino Friday morning but it turned out to be a hoax.
Text messages from a house led to a dead end.
Authorities say they were working on a tip. A person was sending text messages from a home near Wildcat Canyon Road in Lakeside.
Shortly before 6 a.m. Friday, Deputies removed a roadblock along Wildcat Canyon Road.
In Big Bear, officers are going door to door, checking houses near the area where his truck was found.
