TORONTO, Feb. 21, 2013 /CNW/ - Collins Barrow Toronto Senior Manager Murtaza Dean was recently appointed to the International Accounting Standards Board's (IASB) Consultative Group on the Methodology for Fieldwork and Effects Analysis. This group is comprised of international members.
"With the newly implemented IFRS, many jurisdictions are facing extensive impact assessment or cost-benefit analysis requirements and the Consultative Group is exploring potential for IASB to support these jurisdictions in studying the effects of IFRS," says Murtaza. "Given Collins Barrow's role as a leader in the mid-market, I will be contributing insights based on our extensive experience in an effort to enable greater efficiency across the board as our work may be able to alleviate the need for further analysis."
