
MIRAMAR (CNS) - More than 200 Marines with the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing are back home Monday following a yearlong deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
The Marines were welcomed by family and friends on the flight line at a homecoming ceremony at 8 a.m., according to Miramar's public affairs office.
While away, the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing provided close air support, air assault and transportation for ground troops.
