SDG&E customers in Carlsbad without power

CARLSBAD (CNS) - About 600 San Diego Gas & Electric customers in the Carlsbad area were without electricity early Tuesday but power was restored to most within a few hours, according to the utility.

The outage was reported at 11:18 p.m. Monday, SDG&E said on its website.

Around 3 a.m., power was restored to all but about 270 customers, according to SDG&E, which estimated electricity in the area would be fully restored by 9 a.m.

The cause was under investigation.

As of this update, fewer than 100 customers were without power.
