SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Four people were sent to the hospital -- three with serious injuries -- after a two-vehicle crash in Clairemont.
Police say an 18-year-old man was driving eastbound on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard around 5:30 p.m. with three other teens between the ages of 14 and 18 in the car when he lost control, spun out and hit another car.
A nurse who was walking by and saw the crash rushed to help.
"I saw that it was a super fast, super bad accident, and I'm an emergency triage nurse. So I just jumped the fence and tried to stabilize the worst guy. That's it," witness Carol Vera said.
Three of the four teens were taken to the hospital with major injuries. The man in the other car was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
