SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The wet weather is causing major accidents on local roads.
Around 1 a.m. Friday, the driver of a tow truck lost control on the slick roads and slammed into the guardrail and flipped over.
This accident was reported along Interstate 805 near E Street in Chula Vista.
The driver was trapped inside the truck and had to be cut out by fire crews using the jaws of life. He was transported to a nearby hospital but did not suffer any major injuries.
Meanwhile in Mission Valley, a car overturned on the transition ramp between northbound 163 and Interstate 8.
The driver was not hurt but apparently lost control while making the turn.
