SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A little dog that nearly lost her life after she was attacked by a bigger dog has found her new forever home.

Veterinarians at the VCA Bonita Animal Hospital thought KC's injuries were too extensive to save her, but when they saw her wagging her tail they vowed to do all they could to help her.

She pulled through, and now a new family has applied at the Rancho Coastal Humane Society to adopt her.

Her adoption should be finalized Friday.
