SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Family and friends are gathering at the San Diego Yacht Club to celebrate the life of Craig Williams.
The 36-year-old Serra Mesa man died last week during a sailboat race from Long Beach to San Diego. Williams and his team were sailing in rough waters when they lost control and crashed into the rocks near San Clemente Island. The Coast Guard was able to safely rescue his five crewmates.
Williams is survived by a two-year-old daughter and pregnant wife.
