SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The Aztec colors might be red and black, but the students at SDSU are going green.
They are taking part in Greenfest, a weeklong event dedicated to Aztec pride and sustainability.
On Tuesday, they held a cultural and sustainability fair on campus, handing out reusable water bottles and educational materials.
"Students wanted to have an educational experience where they could not only talk about Aztec pride, but educate the community about the importance of being sustainable in their everyday lives," Associated Students Executive VP Channelle McNutt said.
The program started at San Diego State five years ago.
