SAN DIEGO (CNS) - One man was killed and another wounded in a stabbing in the Skyline area of San Diego, police said Saturday.
The stabbing occurred around 11:40 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of Coolwater Avenue, where officers found the victims, one 36 and the other 45, suffering from stab wounds, said San Diego police Lt. Jorge Duran.
The 36-year-old, lying unconscious in the driveway of a residence, was pronounced dead at the scene despite the efforts of officers and paramedics to resuscitate him, Duran said.
The 45-year-old was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening wounds, he said.
A 32-year-old man was detained a short distance away and was being questioned this morning as a "person of interest" in the case, Duran said.
