SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Halloween is still more than a month away, but the Del Mar Fairgrounds have already been transformed into the Del Mar Scaregrounds for the return of the Scream Zone.
This year, you can shoot zombies with paintball guns. The Zombie Paintball Safari is just one of the four haunted events being featured at this year's Scream Zone, which is one of the largest events of its kind in Southern California.
"This year you are really going to want to take your time, because this is an evening's entertainment," said Linda Zweig, spokesperson for the Del Mar Fairgrounds. "You can come with the whole family though we don't recommend our events for kids younger than 10 years old 'cause they are very scary. Though we will welcome them."
The Scream Zone is open weekends starting now until November 2. As Halloween approaches, the event will be open every night.
