SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Authorities Monday announced a $6,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of a 79-year-old Serra Mesa woman who went missing last week.

Mehria Mansury disappeared Tuesday morning after leaving her home in the 2800 block of Amulet Street, according to San Diego police.

For several days, search teams hiked through overgrown open areas in and around the neighborhood near Qualcomm Stadium in search of Mansury, described as a 5-foot-1-inch, roughly 140-pound Middle Eastern woman with brown hair and brown eyes.

Friends of hers have raised $5,000 of the reward money, with San Diego County Crime Stoppers posting the remainder. Anyone with information on Mansury's possible whereabouts was asked to call the nonprofit agency at (888) 580-8477 or contact it online at sdcrimestoppers.com. Tipsters may remain anonymous.
