SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The San Diego Chargers are making a move to get kids moving in the fight against obesity.
The Bolts are awarding $10,000 to Hillside Middle School, the winner of a grant for health and wellness equipment from the Play 60 program.
On Tuesday, Kendall Reyes and some of his teammates took over a PE class and ran the kids through a series of NFL-style drills to show them how easy it is and to send the active message. The Chargers also spoke to the kids about the importance of bookwork and physical education.
Hillsdale was one of 26 schools that applied for the grant.
