LAKESIDE (CNS) - Multiple crashes Saturday on a stretch of state Route 67 near Lakeside were expected to tie up traffic, fire officials said.
The crashes happened between Slaughterhouse Canyon Road and Scripps Poway Parkway, according to the Lakeside Fire Protection District.
In one of the crashes, a gold Toyota pickup truck overturned in the northbound lanes near Slaughterhouse Canyon Road around 4:40 p.m, according to the California Highway Patrol. No one involved was taken to a hospital, a Heartland Fire & Rescue dispatcher said.
A two-vehicle crash on a curve in the 12000 block of state Route 67 was reported shortly before 5 p.m., according to the CHP.
Another noninjury crash was also reported on the highway, authorities said.
Lakeside fire officials said traffic would likely be delayed in the vicinity of the crashes, and advised drivers to use extreme caution.
