OCEANSIDE (CNS) - Authorities Sunday publicly identified the pedestrian who died after being struck by one vehicle and then run over by a second on an Oceanside roadway Thanksgiving Day.

Kenneth Klose, 52, was struck by a GMC pickup truck, then by a Dodge Caravan around 5:45 p.m. on Nov. 28, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office and Oceanside police. He was crossing the 3500 block of Mission Avenue near North Foussat Road outside a crosswalk, police said.

Emergency personnel pulled Klose from beneath the minivan and began administering first aid, but he died at the scene from multiple blunt force injuries, authorities said.

The drivers of both vehicles were cooperative with investigators, and neither was suspected of drunken driving or speeding, according to Oceanside police.
