SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Two pedestrians were struck by a hit-and-run driver Friday in University City, police said.
The accident was reported about 6 a.m. at the intersection of Governor Drive and Stresemann Street, police said.
The victims told police they first walked past the truck that was parked at the curb. It then came from behind, struck them and kept going.
Officers were on the lookout for a large red truck that headed north after the crash, police said.
"Right now, it's a hit and run. It could be an intentional act. We have conflicting statements from both victims whether or not they feel the truck intentionally hit them or not," SDPD Lt. Eric Hayes said.
The two pedestrians were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
