SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Three men are under arrest after leading police on a high speed chase through San Diego and National City.
The chase started on Interstate 805 near Imperial Avenue around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday. Speeds reached 80 miles an hour on freeways and surface streets.
The driver finally stopped after running over spike strips on State Route 94 at Federal Boulevard.
Police report that the truck matched the description of suspects wanted for tagging and making threats.
"Inside we did find evidence related to tagging crimes being spray paints and those types of things. Our officers are still going through the vehicle at this time," explained said Lt. Paul Rorrison with the San Diego Police Department. "Our investigators are en route out here now from our graffiti strike force and area station detectives will continue the investigation."
One of the men arrested has a felony warrant. All three are now facing charges.
