Keeping people out of women's sports because they're better

Posted: Updated:

It all started when a transgender South African distance-runner was barred from international competition and underwent horrendous amounts of "sex testing." This was, according to medical officials and governing bodies, to determine the levels of testosterone in the runner's system. This would try to determine if someone was "really" a female athlete and/or if it would give those competitors an "unfair advantage" over their opponents. Further studies have been done about how some women have more natural testosterone than men and it's hard to come to a conclusion about how these women should be treated.

Follow AM 760's Armstrong & Getty as they look at the real reason and hurdle female athletes face with these "tests" that could keep them from competition altogether.
