Vista Unified S.D. teachers have minimum responsibilities now

Posted: Updated:

The Vista Unified School District has decided to take away sessions for students to help study for AP tests. The school board claims that they are doing this and other atrocities "for the good of the students," when in fact they are taking away some of the basic responsibilities and minimizing the workload of the teachers.

Follow AM 760's Mike Slater as he interviews Elizabeth, a student at Rancho Buena Vista High School, who argues heavily against these cuts and also tells a wonderful story how one of her teachers fights against these "strategies."

Here are the letters sent to students and their parents:

Other strategies/lists sent out included:

- Vista Teachers Association v. Vista Unified School District Proposals.

- Work to Rule: Dos and Don'ts Guidelines for Teachers.

- A fact sheet regarding recent negotiations.
