NATIONAL CITY (CNS) - A motorist who refused to yield for a traffic stop led officers on a chase from near Lindbergh Field to the South Bay Tuesday before pulling over and being arrested, authorities reported.
San Diego Harbor Police personnel began pursuing the man in the area of Pacific Highway and Grape Street shortly after 4 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver fled to the south, at times heading the wrong way in traffic lanes.
After about 15 minutes, he stopped at Highland Avenue and Plaza Boulevard in National City and was taken into custody, the CHP reported.
The suspect's name was not immediately available, and it was unclear why officers tried to stop him initially.
