SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - In two separate events, Border Patrol agents arrested two women in Temecula who were smuggling more than $750,000 worth of narcotics.
Agents arrested a 41-year-old US citizen Wednesday morning on Interstate 15 after a K-9 alerted agents during a vehicle stop. They found nearly 52 pounds of cocaine in her speaker box.
Fifteen minutes later, they arrested another US citizen, finding bundles of narcotics inside an ice chest.
Both women are facing drug smuggling charges.
