- Nation's Largest Massage Therapy Franchise Plans Expansion into 50th State -

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., June 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Massage Envy Spa, the pioneer and national leader of professional, convenient and affordable massage and spa services, announced today plans to launch the brand in Wyoming. Currently, Massage Envy Spa has locations in 49 states; expansion into Wyoming will officially bring the brand to all 50 states.

"We are seeking an entrepreneur to help us bring the benefits of Massage Envy Spa to the residents of Cheyenne or Casper," said Lori Merrall, national director of franchise sales for Massage Envy Spa. "It is our goal to have locations in every U.S. state; and we are eager to find potential franchisees in Wyoming who want to start their own business with the support of a very successful and rewarding business model – one that has now been embraced throughout the country."

Today, there are nearly 1,000 Massage Envy Spa locations in 49 states, making it the largest system of franchised massage clinics in the industry. In 2013, the company opened 95 new clinics, reached $1 billion in system-wide sales and awarded an additional 100 franchise licenses. The company is also the world's largest employer of licensed/registered massage therapists with at least 21,000 therapists and 3,000 estheticians providing over 16 million massages a year to a total of more than 1.5 million members.

To fuel growth and expansion, the company is looking for specific franchisee candidates who have the ability and the desire to learn and follow a system that ensures value and customer satisfaction. Qualified franchisee candidates should have business sales or management experience, but do not necessarily need to have a massage therapy or spa operations background.  They also should possess a minimum net worth of $500,000 and liquid assets of at least $150,000. Depending on the real estate, Massage Envy Spa franchisees can expect their initial investment to range from approximately $412,600$938,900, including the franchisee fee.
