Due to the extraordinarily busy fire and disaster season, California Casualty is giving firefighters more time to enter the final $10,000 Firehouse Makeover. The deadline has been extended from July 14 to September 1, 2014.

We know that the job comes first and with so many fires, floods, tornadoes, and other maladies, we want everyone to have a fair chance to enter, said Mike McCormick, California Casualty Vice President. The Munhall, Pennsylvania Volunteer Fire Company #1, winner of the second Firehouse Makeover in November 2013, is enjoying new sleeping quarters and beds, fresh paint, and new appliances that accommodate more volunteer firefighters to help protect the community.
