The 19th Annual Scientific Session" conference, presented by the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC), will be held September 18-21, 2014 at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston, MA.

Plenary Session Highlights
Opening the ASNC2014 General Session will feature Jagat Narula, MD, PhD as he provides The 2014 Mario Verani Lecture with his presentation, "Just Because I Can...Should I? A Case Study of the Detection of a High-Risk Plaque".

Additional featured speakers include Valentin Fuster, MD, PhD, former president of the American Heart Association and the World Heart Federation; and current and past presidents of the American College of Cardiology Patrick O'Gara, MD and Pamela Douglas, MD. To view biographies, click here.

ASNC2014 attendees will have opportunities to network with nuclear cardiology professionals, contribute to programs that promote innovation and quality in cardiology imaging; and display their latest products at this meeting through advertising, exhibiting, commercial support and educational grants.

New for 2014:
Maintenance of Certification (MOC) sessions will be available with audience response
capabilities. Attend the session and then complete the test for 10 points each. Attendees must be registered with ABIM to obtain MOC points.

  • 2014 Update in Cardiovascular Disease module from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
  • A nuclear cardiology specific module (2014 American Society of Nuclear Cardiology MOC Module 1), submitted to ABIM for approval for an additional 10 MOC points.
New 2014 International Sessions:
For the first time ASNC2014 will have four international sessions that offer an opportunity to learn about multimodality imaging from the international community and how that view may differ from the U.S.-based approach. These must-attend sessions support a multimodality agenda featuring a collaborative educational and
research effort across many imaging disciplines to help promote a cost-effective, patient-centered approach to medical care.

Nuclear Cardiology Board Exam Preparation
ASNC is pleased to offer the Nuclear Cardiology Board Exam Preparation Course in conjunction with ASNC2014 at the Boston Seaport World Trade Center. The goal of this board review course is to prepare participants for the certification and recertification exam in nuclear cardiology. It increases learners knowledge and competence to treat patients with the appropriate cardiac nuclear imaging procedures. This course is designed for physicians preparing for the certification or recertification exam in nuclear cardiology as well as physicians interested in a broad review in nuclear cardiology topics.
