Dallas, TX (PRWEB) July 11, 2014
The manufacturer of Crossfire Alarms out of the Dallas metroplex has donated over $100,000 in scholarships through a partnership with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation as part of their Fallen Heroes Scholarship program. The funds have been donated over the years in an effort to help the children and spouses of firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty and are listed on the wall in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
The manufacturer of Crossfire Alarms is a Texas-based company that creates advanced interconnected alarms for homes and businesses. Their smoke, heat and carbon monoxide alarms are designed to give people the fastest warning to any kind of danger in the home. Their alarms are designed to work together to keep families safer and save lives.
Crossfire Alarms is showing support for firefighters who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty by funding the Fallen Heroes Scholarship. As a sponsor, the manufacturer teamed up with The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation in 2000 to begin screening applicants. The Foundation itself, which was created in 1992 by the United States Congress to provide support for the family and coworkers of fallen firefighters, receives support in the form of donations from private individuals, organizations and companies. Their goal is to support efforts to prevent line-of-duty casualties and provide support for those who have suffered a loss. Chris Roberts, spokesperson for the Fallen Heroes Scholarship Fund says, We contacted the Foundation and became a partner program because we wanted to make sure the money flowed to the people who truly deserve it.
