There was no hotel lobby fighting against short-term vacation rentals

Posted: Updated:

The San Diego City Council voted 6-3 in favor of imposing new limits on short-term vacation rentals. Secondary homes will not be allowed to be listed on websites like Air BNB. However, the fight isn’t just with third-party companies, but also families that want the right to do what they want with their property.

AM 760’s Mark Larson spoke with City Council member Lorie Zapf (District 2) - who represents many residents who oppose those compulsively renting out their homes to strangers and ruining the value and image of their neighborhoods. Also, Zapf commented on the opposition’s fight in advertisements.
