Donald Trump might have enough money to run for president but he lacks the type of Republican support he needs to win the GOP nomination.

According to a new poll, just 27 percent of Republicans feel he can win the nomination, with a majority, 69 percent calling it unlikely.

Rasmussen Reports said that the results were similar among all likely voters, with just 23 percent believing he has a chance and 72 percent calling a Trump nomination unlikely.

"This positions Trump near the bottom of the GOP field, which now totals a dozen serious candidates, when ranked by Republican voters based on the likelihood of gaining the nomination," said Rasmussen.
