There’s no shortage of outrage among those who oppose Governor Gavin Newsom’s executive order to suspend/halt state executions of prisoners who currently sit on death row. Newsom claims that there’s too much taxpayer money being used toward this, too many innocent prisoners on death row, and that this issue is no longer an abstract one.

AM 760’s Mark Larson spoke with California State Senator Brian Jones. Jones pulled no punches in how Newsom not only flip-flopped on this issue, among others, but also went against the will of the people after an overwhelming disapproval of a death penalty repeal in 2016.
