The San Diego City Council voted (the first of two votes) in favor of having citizens securely storing their firearms so children don’t get access to them as promoted and proposed by San Diego City Attorney Mara Elliott. This was followed by a homeowner in San Carlos who confronted a would-be burglar, was stabbed and hospitalized, but was saved by his adult son who fatally shot the intruder.

AM 760’s Mark spoke with Michael Schwartz (Executive Director of the San Diego County Gun Owners PAC) as they dissected this unfortunate, yet heroic, story about guns saving lives and how the city has yet to explore the idea that those crucial moments might cost lives when they matter most. They also looked at how Mara Elliott is not doing her job and is instead being a political pawn for the minority.
